Born in Kansas City Mo. Raised in Los Angeles 

Early musical instincts were encouraged by family, including her Opera Singer Mother who infused the desire to learn the piano at the age of five followed by violin, clarinet, and drums. Attended the Conservatory of Music in Toledo Ohio, returned to Los Angeles and began private study under the direction of Ina Zan.

 

Darcus has as sang backgrounds session and demos with Johnny Mathis, Gladys Knight  LL Cool J and many others
